{"id":486,"date":"2015-04-17T12:19:56","date_gmt":"2015-04-17T02:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.redhillsacc.com.au\/?p=486"},"modified":"2015-04-17T12:19:56","modified_gmt":"2015-04-17T02:19:56","slug":"super-guarantee-contributions-sgc-due-date-super-stream-compliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.redhillsacc.com.au\/mansfield-accountant\/super-guarantee-contributions-sgc-due-date-super-stream-compliance\/","title":{"rendered":"Super Guarantee Contributions (SGC) due date &#038; Super Stream Compliance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Super Guarantee Contributions (SGC) \u00a0for the January to March Quarter are due on Tuesday 28th April. \u00a0Remember this is 9.5% of Ordinary Time Earnings.<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Super Stream Compliance:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As of 1 July 2015, all SGC must be paid electronically (EFT, BPAY or Direct Debit), a data file must be forwarded to the employees super fund advising their TFN, Member number, Period contributions cover and amount of super contribution paid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>What is considered super stream compliant?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most industry super funds e.g. Host Plus, Australian Super, REST etc are Super Stream Compliant, if you are able to login as an employer and process contributions online, then pay later via BPAY or EFT or Direct Debit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Super payments processed via a Clearing House<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Super payment processed and paid using a compliant Payroll Provider e.g. MYOB or Reckon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>What is not Super Stream compliant?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Super contributions paid by BPAY, or EFT direct to a SMSF, APRA \u2013 Regulated Funds, where no electronic data file is processed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>What to do? <\/b>The only way to become compliant \u2013 processing payments to a SMSF or APRA, is to make contributions via a clearing house, or compliant payroll provider. Make sure you find a fund which is low cost i.e. ATO Small Business Clearing House is a good one, or some industry funds are also good.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you need help to ensure you
